Hello...

Welcome to Jodie Rose Yoga, a space dedicated to supporting mums-to-be and new mums through pregnancy, birth and early motherhood with gentle, informed and nurturing yoga.

My classes are thoughtfully designed to support the physical, emotional and mental changes that naturally occur during pregnancy and the postnatal period. Classes take place in a calm, relaxed and supportive environment, giving you the opportunity to slow down, reconnect with your body and develop tools that you can use both on and off the mat. Through a combination of gentle movement, breath awareness, relaxation and mindfulness, you’ll learn practical techniques to help ease common pregnancy discomforts, reduce stress and build confidence in your changing body.

As a practising midwife, alongside being a qualified pregnancy and postnatal yoga instructor, I bring a depth of knowledge, clinical understanding and real-life experience into every class. This unique combination allows me to offer yoga that is not only nurturing, but also safe, evidence-based and tailored to the needs of each stage of pregnancy and early motherhood. Classes are always adapted to meet you where you are, whether this is your first pregnancy or you are returning to movement after birth.

Jodie Rose Yoga is about more than just movement. It’s a supportive space to ask questions, share experiences, and feel held during what can be a transformative and sometimes overwhelming time. My aim is for you to leave each session feeling calmer, more connected, and more confident as you navigate your own pregnancy and postnatal journey.

If you’d like to find out more about pregnancy or postnatal classes, please get in touch. I would love to support you and be part of your journey into motherhood.

My Story

Hi, I’m Jodie. I’ve been a qualified, practising midwife since 2008, after completing my three-year training at QMC in Nottingham. My fascination with pregnancy, birth and motherhood began over 19 years ago when my best friend had her first baby. Seeing his beautiful face just moments after he was born left a lasting impression on me. I was in absolute awe of the journey she had taken to bring him earthside — she was a truly strong mama. From that moment, I knew I wanted to become a midwife and support more women and their families through this powerful life transition.

Since qualifying, and alongside becoming a mother myself, I’ve been privileged to work at Lincoln County Hospital as part of the core labour ward team. Supporting women and birthing people during such a transformative time continues to feel like a real honour, and I feel incredibly lucky to be part of their journeys.

As the world slowly returned to a ‘new normal’ after the pandemic, the importance of community, connection and sisterhood became clearer to me than ever. This inspired me to undertake my pregnancy yoga training with the wonderful Birthlight. I wanted to create a safe, nurturing space where women could slow down, tune into their bodies and connect with their babies, away from the noise and pressures of everyday life. I absolutely loved the training and felt deeply inspired by meeting others who shared the same passion for supporting women through pregnancy and motherhood.

My yoga sessions are gentle, supportive and suitable for all abilities. They are designed to help you feel more comfortable, confident and connected throughout pregnancy and beyond.

Alongside my work as a midwife and yoga instructor, I have been a professional holistic therapist since 2004. I’m deeply passionate about supporting people through the many milestones of life, both joyful and challenging. I’m dedicated to helping my clients navigate physical, emotional and spiritual transitions with compassion and care. The treatments I offer include massage, reiki and psychic readings, all tailored to the individual.

Every treatment and class I offer is carefully adapted to meet your unique needs, ensuring you receive the support that feels right for you. If you’d like to find out more or discuss how I can support you, please get in touch, I’d love to hear from you!
